Bellagio, Italy

United Kingdom, August 2022

Bellagio, often called the “Pearl of Lake Como,” has drawn visitors since Roman times for its strategic position at the meeting of the lake’s three arms. These photographs document its streets and facades, stone steps and shaded alleys, villas and gardens, and the shifting light across Lake Como. From doorways overgrown with vines to ornamental cypress and waterside views, the images reflect both the lived character of the town and the landscape that surrounds it.
